Maria originally hails from Ireland and is a native English speaker. Educated in the Netherlands, Maria was admitted to the Dutch bar in 2000 and has been with our firm since 2003.

Her main areas of expertise are:

• Restructuring and liquidation of companies
• Representation in matters relating to insolvency and bankruptcy
• Family law

Maria litigates on a regular basis, mainly in matters relating to insolvency and complex family law cases. She has been active as a court appointed liquidator/ trustee in bankruptcy since 2001. Maria is regularly appointed by the Court of Rotterdam in bankruptcy cases.

As a family lawyer she advises clients on matrimonial property issues including complex corporate matters, professional practices, business and pension valuations and family trusts as well as on significant financial issues including spousal and child support.
