Babise specialises in employment law and employee benefits. She represents clients in individual and collective labour law matters, such as cases relating to:

  • dismissal;
  • collective bargaining;
  • transfer of undertakings (Protection of Employment);
  • industrial action;
  • co-determination.

Babise has a wealth of experience in providing advice to clients from abroad in respect of the handling of both day-to-day HR problems and major transitional issues such as transfers of undertaking and collective redundancies. She is solution oriented, amicable and a strong litigator when it turns out that trial is the best option for the client. Babise represents employers' as well as employees' interests.

Education

Babise graduated from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam in 2000 with private law as specialization. In 1999 Babise participated in the W.C. Vis International Arbitration Moot, an international Competition for students held in Vienna about an international dispute governed by the CISG (UN Convention on the International Sales of Goods). Babise also studied law at the Université Aix-Marseille-III in France. During another semester abroad, at Hofstra University in New York, Babise trained her lawyering skills, following courses like Comprehensive litigation skills, Witness examination and Advanced Mediation.

Babise has been admitted to the Bar in 2001 and has practiced as an attorney at law with Kernkamp ever since.
